Event regulations

By registering, participants agree to the following event regulations.

Event regulations

  1. The organizer of the Santarun Bern is Markus Ryffel's AG.
  2. The lap distance is 2.7 km. 2 laps therefore correspond to 5.4 km. Participants can decide for themselves whether they want to run one or two laps.
  3. The event will be carried out according to the categories listed in the official announcement.
  4. Route service: The instructions of the route service must be strictly followed. Private escort vehicles or persons (including bicycles) are not permitted. Unofficial shortcuts and unauthorized aids are not permitted.
  5. Medical service: There are first-aid and Samaritan posts in the start and finish areas and along the route.
  6. Catering: On the Bundesplatz (start/finish) there is the possibility to eat and drink at various food and drink stands.
  7. Responsibility: Participants take part in the Santarun Bern at their own risk and on their own responsibility. The organizer accepts no responsibility or liability for accidents or illnesses.
  8. Awards: There is no official timekeeping. Regardless of the running time, the organizing committee awards various prizes. On presentation of their start number, all participants will receive a Santa bag with various surprises at the finish. The Santa outfits provided by the organizer, as well as the above-mentioned Santasäckli, are without guarantee. Legal recourse is excluded.
  9. Insurance: Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. The organizer declines all liability for accidents, damage and theft. Participants are obliged to have valid accident insurance.
  10. Start list: The start list is available at www.santarunbern.ch available.
  11. The organizer has the final decision on the interpretation of the regulations. If a runner is unable to start, the registration fee will be forfeited and returned to the organizer. If the race cannot be held through no fault of the organizer, there is no entitlement to a refund of the entry fee. Cancellation insurance can be taken out at the time of registration.
  12. Participants agree that the organizer may use the data provided by them to Personal data for marketing purposes and pass them on to third parties (e.g. sending brochures). Disclosure to third parties is restricted to partners and sponsors. The organizer undertakes to process all personal data only in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Anyone wishing to object to the forwarding of addresses must notify TrackMaxx GmbH (info@trackmaxx.ch) in writing up to two weeks before the event. Participants agree to the use of film and photo material for the illustration of websites, ranking lists and other promotional purposes (e.g. for flyers, articles in customer magazines) of the organizer and its sponsors and partners.
  13. Member of Swiss-Athletics: When you register, you also become a running member of Swiss Athletics and the umbrella organization Swiss Olympic. We will pass on your name and e-mail address to Swiss Athletics for this purpose. Your data will only be used for the purpose of registering you as a member and will not be passed on to third parties. This membership is free of charge for you and expires (after one year) at the end of the following calendar year. Further information can be found on the website of Swiss-Running to find. You can revoke your consent to the transfer of your data to Swiss Athletics at any time in writing (e.g. by e-mail to santarun@markusryffels.ch).
