Can I bring my own costume? Do I get a discount for this?
Yes, there is a CHF 10.00 discount on the entry fee for your own costume. It is mandatory to run with a Santa outfit.
Are the costumes one size fits all?
No, you can choose between these choose from four models.
Are there also Santa outfits for women?
Yes. They are cut rather small. Women can also order men's costumes, which are larger in size.
Where is the start and finish area?
On the Federal Square in Bern. This can be reached on foot from Bern station in 5 minutes.
Where can I find checkrooms?
There are no checkrooms. There are valuables shops on the Bärenplatz.
When and where can I pick up my race number?
The start numbers will be sent by post. All race numbers that cannot be sent out due to time constraints can be collected from the information stand on Bärenplatz (near the Kuoni branch) from 17:00.
When and where can I pick up my costume?
From 17:00 in the marquee, which is located on Bärenplatz.
Can I also start with a baby carriage?
Of course you can start the run with a stroller! Just make sure that you are not at the front when the starting signal is given. Also be aware that the streets of Bern's old town are paved with cobblestones and not asphalted.
Why is there no timekeeping?
There is a time measurement for the Jufli-Chlöise only.
Chiller-Chlöise: Running fast may be important, but not on the Santarun. It's all about family, friends and fun. If you still want to appear in a ranking list, you can enter your time and other information after the run. enter yourself in the ranking list.
How long do I have for my run?
The run will start at 19:30. No second round can be tackled after 21:00. The finish line closes at 21:45.
How do I know whether I will run one or two laps?
It's entirely up to you. After the first lap (approx. 2.7 km) you can decide to run to the finish or tackle another lap.
Can I take my dog with me?
Of course you can take your dog with you. However, we recommend that you do not start at the very front, but a little further back where the crowd is not so close together. You must keep your dog on a lead. Of course, it's great if your dog is dressed appropriately.
